Mold Isn't That Scary
Mold is a scary word if you’re not familiar with it. Luckily the technicians with SERVPRO of Wesley Chapel are trained experts in the field when it comes to the remediation process.
In the photos above you can clearly see this gorgeous waterfront condo in Dunedin, Florida, has a mold problem that started as a leak in the guest bathroom. Once discovered our team was dispatched out to address a water damage, and immediately found microbial growth behind the sopping wet vanity. Now what happens?
Safety always comes first in this line of work! Our crew first dressed in proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) then started the work. We began by hanging up containment to separate the uncontaminated area from our work zone and minimize the opportunities for spores to spread. From there we detached all affected material such as the vanity, bathtub, and anything that could intervene in the cleaning process. It’s worthy to note that while working with mold in any situation we always have air scrubbers in place and negative pressure to ensure that we don’t contaminate anymore of the space. Dry wall was then removed, all studs and framing treated and wiped down, and the air scrubber was left overnight. With all of that said, this condo is ready to be put back together, "Like it never even happened."
